My birthday came and went and I didn’t even write about it here.

What does that really mean?

It could mean that my life is so full and rich that I don’t have time to sit down and write about it.

It could also mean that everything is great and wonderful and I have no need to pour out all of my feelings and thoughts on this blog.

It could be that I just want to keep some things to myself and enjoy them all on my own without anyone knowing about them.

It could be all of the above and more. I’m forcing myself to write this because I feel I’ve neglected my blog and I know my Mom checks it religiously every day and is probably disappointed when she doesn’t see anything new to read.

Although I’m sure that Twitter has filled in the void that my neglect of this blog has created.

But Twitter is not quite the same as a blog. It’s snippets of real life here and there. The mundane and the weird. It’s a way to stay connected with short spurts of information. We get to learn who is happy, who got a job, how they are doing.

For that Twitter is great. But if you want to get into someone’s head, then the blog is the way to go.

And I just haven’t had the need to have someone get into my head recently.

Life is still good. Yes, there are some roadblocks here and there but you just drive around them and forget all about them until the next one creeps up on you.

In the end those roadblocks are there to remind you that life, while good, can change at a moment’s notice and it’s up to you to decide how you will handle them.

And the best approach in life is to look for the good in everything, have a positive outlook in life and be happy with what you have.

I know I am.

Every day.

Here is a picture of my cute little Mimi after getting a bath from me.

She hadn’t gotten a bath since we got her back in June and she desperately needed one.

The vet told me we had to wait until she got all of her shots before getting a haircut at a grooming place.

She gets her final set of shots next week. So now I have to make an appointment at the local grooming place to get her haircut because it’s way too long.

We want to keep her hair short like a puppy instead of letting it grow out as is customary with Maltese dogs.

Isn’t she just adorable??

Alex and I went to the Boston concert last night at the Seminole Hard Rock Live and it was a blast. The music was great and loud and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. The concert lasted about 2 hours so I feel we got our money’s worth.

They played some of their most famous songs such as “Amanda” and “More than a Feeling”. It was a lot of fun. Most of the other songs I wasn’t familiar with but Alex was singing his little heart out and that warmed my heart.

After that we met up with his parents. They were dying to take us out to dinner. They were given a dining voucher worth $175 at the most expensive restaurant in the Seminole Hard Rock: the Council Oak. The food was very good. The service was great. And once again we got home after midnight.

I’m determined to take every opportunity I get to read my book. So even though I was exhausted last night, I read a few pages and finished a chapter. I chose to read Breaking Dawn first. It seems nowadays that my life is so full and so busy that I barely have a chance to do the things I used to do like watching TV and reading books.

But that’s okay. I’m happy and that’s all that matters. I can always catch up on TV and books whenever I get a chance. I wouldn’t change my life for anything (with exception to one thing or shall I say one person). Other than that one thorn on my side, I really cannot complain about anything.

Woke up early this morning to get the boys ready for school.

Made them some milk and dunkers which is their favorite breakfast meal. Sometimes I wish these boys would eat other stuff other than dunkers but it’s not meant to be, I guess. I prepared their lunch boxes and bid them goodbye and wished them a good day at school. I told them I would miss them as I won’t see them for an entire week, until next Wednesday. Alex Jr. looked a little sad about that.

Alex Sr. went to court this morning. Things are finally moving along so which we are both very happy. Alex likes the judge and believes he will be fair which is really all we ask. Hopefully everything should be over by birthday. And what a wonderful birthday gift it will be if that’s the case. I can’t wait.

Last night I was finally able to get the two books that I’ve been waiting for in over a year: Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer and Acheron by Sherrilyn Kenyon. I started reading Breaking Dawn last night but only got a few pages into the book. We got home late last night after going to dinner at Thai Cafe with the boys and then to the Borders bookstore to get my books. Amazingly enough both boys ate all of their food. And those delicious donuts for dessert should be made illegal.

Both of the boys love books so Alex Sr. agreed to buy them each one book if they behaved. Which they did. Andres got a Pokemon book and Alex Sr. convinced Alex Jr. to read Lord of the Flies as it was his favorite book as a young boy.

Alex Jr. was so excited to read his book he started reading it in the car. We got home super late and Alex Jr. still had to finish his homework and both boys had to take a shower. Getting to bed was no small feat. They were both hyper and excited and full of energy. Sometimes I wonder where they get all of their energy.

It wasn’t until around 10:30 that we finally left them tucked into bed. But I knew it wouldn’t last. Alex Jr. begged his father to let him read his brand new book. But it was late and Alex Sr. said no. It didn’t matter. I could hear Alex Jr. reading the book aloud to his younger brother after we left them in their room.

I just hope they got a good night’s rest. Tonight they are going to be really tired after school.

I know Alex Sr. and I will both be tired tonight. We went to bed late getting ready for court today and tonight we are going to the Boston concert at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood. I hope it’s fun. I don’t know all of their songs but I know some and I’m sure we will have a blast. This will be the first concert that Alex and I attend together so it will be great no matter what.

So all in all, everything is good. No complaints and happy as a clam.

This will be the third time I start a new blog. As some of you may already know, my webhosting service crapped out on me and were not able to successfully revert my data back so I basically lost everything.

I switched webhosting companies upon the recommendation of a friend and had to figure out how to set everything up again.

I lost about four years of blogging which peeved me a little but thank the Heavens that the Way Back Machine exists. I was able to save all of my blogs from their archives. You will notice that if you click on any of my old archives posted on the right hand side of my blog, the URL is a Way Back Machine URL. I just hope they don’t purge their servers any time soon or I will have to update all of those links. I have them saved but it would be a huge hassle to have to update them.

The formatting of the Blogger Archives should be okay but the WordPress Archives is a bit messed up. Some of the content is gone but all of my writing is there including the comments. At least the most important stuff is still there.

The biggest lesson learned here is to backup, backup, backup. Which I will be doing diligently every month so that I don’t have to do this ever again if something happens with my webhosting service.

I’m sure everything will be alright but you just never know.
